As an amateur red wine enthusiast, I know the difficulties in making good sense of an exciting choice of Australian reds. Reading MW tasting notes don't exactly help when the recommendation is to drink 5 to 25 years later. This blog is my journey across a variety of Australian reds, it is hoped friends and other enthusiasts can join me in this forum as passionate, respectful wine snobs.
2008 WINDOWRIE "THE MILL" MAGNUM MERLOT CENTRAL RANGES NSW
Fresh red strawberries on nose, chocolate and dark berries on entry delivered on spicy tannins. This wine is medium bodied but full flavoured with berries lingering the length of entire palate. Average wine but I'd recommend further cellaring for potential development.
