Deep, dark ruby/ purple, red lush plum and black berries on the nose, med-full body carried by smooth tannins. Typical Coonawarra Cab Sauv. Cedary oak in the backdrop. Ready to drink but may improve with 2 - 3 years. 6/10 27-6-2012 |
As an amateur red wine enthusiast, I know the difficulties in making good sense of an exciting choice of Australian reds. Reading MW tasting notes don't exactly help when the recommendation is to drink 5 to 25 years later. This blog is my journey across a variety of Australian reds, it is hoped friends and other enthusiasts can join me in this forum as passionate, respectful wine snobs.
